The GNASH Senior Games were hosted by The Nashville Predators on Tuesday, September 23rd at the Sommet Center.  The GNASH Senior Games were part of the festivities surrounding the Our Team Rally that was held from 6am-9pm that day.  Activities that took place at the Sommet Center included Preds Rookie Game, concert, autograph signings and public skate. Please visit The Nashville Predators website for a complete schedule.

They are anticipating a large turnout from our loyal Preds fans for the day-long FREE festivities at the Our Team Rally!

Below is the
important information for Seniors and their Parents regarding the game:

Players/Coaches information:

Ø       Players and coaches arrive at the Sommet Center approx. 1 hour prior to the start of the game.  Please enter via the Media Entrance on 5th Ave across from the Hilton Hotel (designated by a blue awning over glass doors).

Ø        Players/coaches will be led by Preds staff to Event Level changing area.

Ø        Only coaches and players will be allowed access to Event Level, changing area and on the bench during games.

Special Note to Teams: Once inside the Sommet Center, be respectful to your surroundings.  It is a privilege to play on the same ice as the NHL pros, and we want to make sure everyone has a safe and fun experience.  Please be reminded that your actions not only represent yourself, but your team as well!

Parents/Spectators information:

Ø       Parents/Spectators enter the Sommet Center via Main Doors on the corner of Broadway & 5th Ave.

Ø        Parents/Spectators are may not access the Event Level.

Ø        At conclusion of the game, players will be led by Preds staff to meet parents at the Media Entrance on 5th Ave across from the Hilton Hotel (designated by a blue awning over glass doors).

Ø
If families are interested in staying after the Senior Game to enjoy the Our Team Rally festivities, we ask that players place their equipment in their car.  We will be unable to store hockey equipment after the game.

Waivers:

Ø       Each player and coach must have a completed waiver form signed by a parent or legal guardian in order to participate.

Camera/Video Recorders:

Ø       Spectators are welcome to bring cameras and video equipment to the game.

Ø       Please remain in the spectator seating while taking footage of game.

Teams & Format:
We had 65 seniors confirm their participation.

We are going to have 2 games.

Each of the 4 teams will have 16 players (well one has 17).

Each game will be 60 minutes.

We will play 3 -15 minute RUN clock periods.

3 minute warm-up.

3 minutes between periods.

Because time is so tight we MUST adhere to the 60 minutes per game.

At this point in time it appears that there will NOT be ANY ice cuts during our ice time.

Everyone should arrive at the Sommet Center per my earlier instructions (see our website if you need the info again or ask me)

We have NOT yet determined which game will be played first so EVERYONE needs to be there on time and be ready to play.

We also have NOT determined which teams will be Home and which will be Visitor so every senior is asked to bring BOTH jerseys.

We know we will have some issues with duplicate numbers so please be willing and prepared to alter your jersey numbers using tape if requested to do so.

MOST IMPORTANTLY – get your wavier form printed, signed, and into your bag so you are sure to have it.  NO ONE can take the ice without the signed wavier form.
