USAH Junior National Champion Atlanta Knights Invite you to Tryouts and NAHL / USAH Prospect Camp

The 2010 USA Hockey Junior National Champion Atlanta Junior Knights Hockey Club announce tryout dates for the 2010 - 2010 season. The tryout dates also include combined tryouts and player prospect camps with our affiliation with the Topeka Roadrunners (NAHL) and the Tri-City Storm (USHL) teams.

The Atlanta Junior Knights announce official tryout dates for the upcoming season for both Knights junior teams.  Both Nationally ranked junior teams offer exceptional player development, national exposure and collegiate recruitment directly from your participation with the Knights.  With numerous NCAA placements for fall 2010, the Knights provide the ultimate environment for academic and athletic player advancement within a professional atmosphere. 

The Knights will field two Junior teams for the fall 2010.

Knights Junior Elites - The 2010 USAH National Champion Finalist program includes MJHL South participation with Junior A focus and objectives, quality and results with respect to direct NCAA player placement, our Elite team will play in four EJHL Junior A showcases, and additionally the Junior A, Elite Division of famous Chowder Cup, and in league games as part of the  MJHL / MJHL South Organization. 

Junior Selects - The Junior B Selects will participate in 3 Emipre showcase events, and additionally in the Collegiate Division of the prestigous Chowder Cup.  League games will be played in the reorganized Junior B league that encompasses the middle atlantic -southeastern region of the US.  

Knights tryouts will be held on three weekends, with one weekend, April 17-18, devoted to a joint Knights tryout - Topeka Roadrunners (NAHL) and Tri-City Storm (USHL) player prospect weekend, and a second and third Knights tryout weekend 

Announced dates are as follows:

• April 17 -18, 2010 (includes NAHL and USHL Prospect Player Camp)
• May  1 - 2,  2010
• May 8 - 9, 2010

Format includes off-ice strength and conditioning evaluations and on-ice competition.  Scouts from the Topeka Roadrunners and Tri-Cities Storm  will be in attendance for player prospect purposes for the specific weekend.  Players should expect tryout costs to be $150 for the primary tryout $50.00 for each additional tryout weekend, although the secondary fee may be waived by our staff if a player is specifically requested to return for a secondary tryout date. There will be a limit on the number of players accepted and limited space for goalies.  Applications will be processed and accepted on a priority basis based on date received.  Based on prior tryouts, particuarly for prospect weekend, spaces will fill quickly.  A link is posted below, program information, and a player preparation guide for tryouts.

The all inclusive Knights junior program includes all apparel, uniforms, travel expenses, room / board / meal expenses, all pracitice, all games, all showcase tournament expense, SAT tutoring expense, trainer expense, athletic club membership and some equ ipment costs.  Estimated all inclusive tuition for 2010 is expected to be approximately $7,000.

Knight will have directly placed more than 25 players in NCAA collegiate teams and ACHA Division I program by fall 2010, and our players will have received more than $125,000 in scholarship awards for fall 2010.

Tryouts are open to all advanced players with birth years of 1995 and older.
