Nashville, Tenn. (May 26, 2010) – On Wednesday, June 2, SlapShot Radio will host a fundraiser to support the rebuilding of Youth Incorporated’s inline hockey rink located in Bellevue. The rink was destroyed in the recent floods, leaving nothing but costly repairs and limited funds.

Join SlapShot Radio hosts Pete Weber and Paul McCann and members of the middle Tennessee hockey community for SlapShot Radio’s “Rink Rebuild” event on Wednesday, June 2 at 5 p.m. at Pie in the Sky Pizza (110 Lyle Avenue off West End Avenue). The event will feature a live broadcast of Game Three of the Stanley Cup Finals shown on several of Pie in the Sky’s high definition televisions, a live remote hosted by Paul and Pete and a silent auction with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Youth Incorporated for the rebuilding of their Bellevue rink.

Youth Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose mission is to “advance the mental, moral and physical development of boys and girls through a variety of sports, recreational activities and camping.” Their sponsorship extends the sports of basketball and hockey from Bellevue to Spring Hill with an inline hockey program that drives participation in youth ice hockey in Middle Tennessee and continues to make new fans of the NHL, particularly our Nashville Predators.
