South wins All-Star Game in Shootout

The All-Star Game was played Saturday evening, February 5th at the Bridgestone Arena, following the Predators 3-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. 

The North came out scoring early, with 2 goals in the first period, scored by Dakota Janiro (Wilson Central) and Matt Neal (Father Ryan).  In the second period, the South had two goals scored by AJ Rittler (Brentwood), and then Matt Neal (Father Ryan) for the North team scored again, to keep the North ahead 3-2.  In the third period, Tre Lane (Hendersonville) scored, bring the north to a 2 goal lead midway through the 3rd period.  The South came alive in the end of the third period, with 2 goals from Dominick Granda (Brentwood) to tie the game at the end of regulation.

In true hockey fashion, the game went into a shootout.  After shots from 5 shooters from both the North and the South, the South was the winner with a shoot out goal from Corbin Pefanis (Ravenwood).

The MVP of the All star game was Dominick Granda (Brentwood) with 2 goals and 2 assits.
