Open Tryouts for Bethel In-Line Hockey Team

The Bethel Wildcats In-line Hockey team will be hosting open tryouts on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 9:00 – 11:00am. The tryouts will be held at the Bethel University Hockey Complex located at 15440 Highland, McKenzie, TN 38201

MCKENZIE, Tenn. (03.01.11) – The Bethel Wildcats In-line Hockey team will be hosting open tryouts on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 9:00 – 11:00am.  The tryouts will be held at the Bethel University Hockey Complex located at 15440 Highland, McKenzie, TN 38201 in the former New Generations Manufacturing building, located in the rear and southeast side.  Any prospective student-athletes that are interested in playing on the Bethel University team starting in the fall of 2011 are encouraged to attend.  There is no cost to attend the tryout.

 

The first hour will be warm-ups and evaluative drills.  The second hour will be a scrimmage with the current Wildcats team.  Players need to bring all their equipment to play and a white and dark jersey.  Helmets with facemasks are required.

 

The first year Bethel University In-line Hockey team is 17-4-1 and claimed the Southeastern Collegiate Roller Hockey League Championship.  By winning the Championship the Wildcats received the automatic bid to the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Championships in Madison, Wisconsin from April 6-10, 2011.  Bethel has played and defeated teams such as The University of Miami, Georgia Tech, East Carolina University, North Carolina State University, Florida State University, Virginia Tech and the University of South Carolina.
