Nashville, Tenn. (November 1, 2012) – Nashville Predators goalie coach Mitch Korn is a man associated with some of hockey’s greatest netminders. With 35 years of coaching experience under his belt, the man as diminutive as his goaltenders are tall will share off-ice instruction, stories, tips, education and humor with coaches and goalies of all ages and skill levels.

This FREE, off-ice, Fireside Chat takes place in the meeting rooms at Bridgestone Arena on Monday, November 19 from 6:15-8:15 p.m. Space is limited! Make sure to RSVP for this special event at nashvillepredators.com/goalienight.

“I am excited to spend time with all the goalies, parents and coaches to give them a unique perspective about our passion for goaltending,” Korn said. “This will be an exciting and interactive event in which attendees of all ages – whether they’re 8, 18 or 28 – will receive goaltending tips on how to grow and develop as a netminder and how they can work to reach the next level!”

Attendees at the fireside chat will benefit from a rare sit-down with one of the sport’s top coaches. The event will feature instructional videos; motivation, stories and tips from Korn; as well as a Q&A session. Parents are encouraged to attend with children to share in the discussion and education.

Mitch Korn is in his 15th season as the goaltending coach for the Predators and in his 22nd season in the NHL. He works with all netminders in the Nashville system, including those playing in Milwaukee (AHL), Cincinnati (ECHL), amateur leagues and Europe. He also hosts summer goalie camps across the country for players of all ages and skill levels.
